WHO I AM

Hello. My name is Sarah and I’m an introverted artist that loves nature, animals and quiet places. I spend my days kicking the ball for my German Shepherd Dog, starting too many house renovation projects and too many hobbies, as well as watching anime and donghua.

MY ART

I am a 3D artist that started in Fine Art. I have done painting, printing, metalwork, sculpture and many more art mediums through the years. My work usually covers themes like fantasy, nature and surrealism.

I have an obsessively detailed approach to line work and enjoy mixing this into fun shapes and forms. I draw digitally now, but always will have a love for traditional media and plan to continue to create this way as well.

WHAT AM I TRYING TO DO?

So, with such an Art background, you may be wondering, why fashion? Where did that come from?

While I continue to work in the 3D industry and enjoy it, I wanted to return to drawing and physical creation. I miss the days of sculpting with clay and wax, making things I could physically hold. But with years of experience in 3D, throwing that all away is hard.
I’ve always had a fascination with traditional clothing, and fell in love with the Chinese and Japanese cultures of the shows I watch. So, I had a crazy idea. Could I combine my love for these traditional clothes and my love for my art?

This led to the beginning of my journey. Where I plan to design modern takes on traditional Asian clothing, using my own fantasy illustrations, and bringing it all to life with my years of 3D art experience. I have no idea where this attempt will take me, whether it will be successful or fail. But I sure am going to give it a good shot. And I would love it if you joined me on this crazy ride.
